 A few satrter questions
Since i'm almost certainly getting an intouch for a birthfay/christmas present i have a few questions
first off: linking accounts. Is it possible? If so how?
second: Is buying gold for pq on the itouch possible from the app/appstore
finally: Are there any areas which are still buggy?

 Re: A few satrter questions
1) The iPhone client has a login screen, so you can just use your normal account if you like. It hooks into the same gameworld as everything else, so you can interact with players on the web or Facebook versions, too.
2) Right now, Gold has to be bought via the normal means. I'm wrapping up an update for the client, though, that will add in-app purchasing of Gold items.
3) There's a handful of things that aren't implemented and probably won't make it into this update, including: post office, PvP, player shops, player houses. Everything else is in, and - to the best of my knowledge - works well. I haven't gotten any bug reports from the iPhone users, and there are no crash reports available to me from Apple.
The next update is also going to include some things the web client *don't* have yet - music and walking animations!

 Re: A few satrter questions
I hate saying this....but it pseudoquest would do better if it was free on the appstore. i personally don't mind paying but people are more likely to download something thats free (wow really?!?) and there are other mmos on the appstore that make all of their money from dlcs. I reckon alot of people would buy gold. As a case in point an mmo Ive played on the itouch has a customisation pack which basically allows you to custormise your character beyond the basic look. Almost everyone in the game has it. However i would understand if you left the price the same There are .of course, othe ways to spread the word about PQ on the appstore. The least risky way is by freeappaday which essentialy advertises your app a being free for a day. As far as i can tell a lot of people use the site so it would be a good way to give pq a boost in playercount. A more risky way would be to get a site to review it. I say risky because if they don't like it and give it a bad review/score it wouldn't exactly help PQ. However you could say there is no such thing as bad publicity. Also is there no way to appeal the current rating of 17+? I ask as it in no way reflects th rating the game deserves as maybe a 12+. That said it may be due to tobbaco references so it could be slightly more understandable. phew thats a lot of text

 Re: A few satrter questions
So, some notes on PQ in the app store:
The primary reason why PQ was set as priced to begin with was that Apple (at the time) did not allow free apps to have paid DLC. Now that they've changed that policy, I'm in the middle of a pretty major update to the client, so it's been delayed while I struggle with finding time to work on PQ. Also, the in-app purchase stuff is complicated, because Apple doesn't allow secondary currency to be purchased via their system - you have to purchase actual things in the game, which complicates my model somewhat. Not insurmountable, but a PITA nonetheless.
That said, along with the new client will come the in-app purchase support and a new price point of free. Players who purchased the game will get a special treat to thank them for their support, and hopefully things will take off from there. I'm hopeful about PQ's prospects as a free game, because during the day and a half it was free (for April Fools'), there were some 270 new accounts created, which was pretty freakin' awesome.
As for the 17+ rating, I can drop that to 12+ if I also drop in-game chat as a feature. Apple's ratings system is incredibly hamfisted, and doesn't distinguish between text chat and full-blown hard-core fetish pornography - both get the same 17+ rating. I presume that people will just ignore that rating anyway, so I'm not particularly worried about it.

 Re: A few satrter questions
hmm I agree it does makes apples rating system seem absurd especially considering that I've played on 12+ mmos with chat enabled XD. However I feel encouraged to buy it more so now (im a sucker for rares ). its nice to hear there was a huge spike of new accounts being made when it was briefly free -edit- Ok I have just bought it and first impressions are fairly good. Its easy to move about and combat is fairly easy too. There are quite alot of menus to navigate but this means there is more space on the screen to move about etc. I liked the presentation and think the menus really fit in with the game. I'l admit all I've done so far is move fight a fight ( I like the combat animations and the way effects pop up around you) and say 'lol!' but it seems all good so far except for a few minor issues. 1. You may notice im no longer in the ufc because I accidentaly exited :O. I guess it's a curse and a blessing but it would be nice if it asked you before you got shoved back to the surface, or if you could poke a door and see where it goes.( this kind of applies to all bits of text you need to mouse over to read) 2. I would also appreciate a zoomed out function but I'm not too bothered about it (although at one stage I wished i could drag the screen to peer round a corner to stop myself getting lost in the forest) 3.I don't know if i like having a menu for chat but I guess there isn't much that can be done about this and it isn't really a major concern. 4.I guess though it would be nice if the camp button made it onto the screen ( although if you're camping multiple times its fairly easy to) 5. You cannot do anything in smallsville bazaar at the moment. i guess this is because it is not technically a shop. The clothing shop also doesn't work. 6.Have player houses been addded? Apart from that its great to be playing pq out of the ufc. i was hit by a wave of nostalgia when I entered smallsville again. I know there have been reviews complaining about the turn system but I think it fits the way I play a fair number of the games on my itouch as it is suited to short bursts of play rather than prolonged lumps. Oh and I liked the ten second tutorial

 Re: A few satrter questions
Good to hear! You'll be pleased to know that the update will address some of the UI problems you outline, as well as some other minor annoyances I ran into after actually using the UI for a while. The menus are available easily from the top of the screen at all times, and the actions buttons line up along the bottom of the screen, so camping repeatedly is much easier for example. Player shops and houses aren't in yet (nor is PvP), but I've still go some other changes to make before the update's ready, so you never know. Gold shop will be reworked to work along with Apple's in-app purchase, and will be available from anywhere in the world.

 Re: A few satrter questions
ok, just got it as well.
first observation, little or no lag which is great.
the combat animations are fairly suitable, but having some diiferent animations, like a puff of smoke for summoning or a rainbow stream of light for magic missile would be nice. the ui is well set out, but unimpressive.
the only bug I hit was when I first logged on, already in a fight and used summon spawn of lewis on the final turn both me and my freshly summoned cat slimes disappered as it where from the screen as combat happened.
Other than a few small graphical tweaks It looks very good to set off as competitoin for the rest of the mmo crowd once the comunity has been built up a bit.
edit:- It appears summoning has several graphical bugs, making the spawn of lewises transparent as it were. I plan to dfind out whether its due to excess or my wifi.
edit edit:- Ok, summoning two sts in a row seem to make the second set 'vanish' as it were.

 Re: A few satrter questions
Side quest bug? I can't pick up any new ones in ridgetown and I couldn't finish my old one :/. Might write a review once Ive worked out an appropriate star rating (im trying to be non-biased )
